Musculoskeletal Tissue Mechanics

- Currently investigating the effects of advanced glycation endproducts (AGEs) on skeletal tissues.

o The role of AGEs in osteoarthritis

o The role of AGEs in bone fragility

Musculoskeletal Tissue Banking

- Collaborative work with Mount Sinai Allograft Technologies Inc.

o Evaluation of musculoskeletal allograft products

o Development of innovative methods to maintain mechanical performance of irradiation-sterilized allografts

Orthopaedic Biomechanics and Sports Medicine

- Clinically-translatable collaborative work with orthopaedic surgeons to which I contribute expertise in mechanical testing and tissue mechanics.
